Questions buyers ask

What curcumin level should I ask for?

Most food buyers ask for 3 percent or more in powder. Extraction buyers usually specify higher-curcumin varieties such as Lakadong. Agree the test method (spectrophotometric or HPLC) with the supplier.

When is the new crop?

The main harvest runs from about January to April, so new-crop availability is usually best from spring onwards.
