HS codes
Bakery exports fall under HS 19. Classify precisely — the first six digits are international, the rest are India's ITC-HS extension. Your HS code drives duty, FTA eligibility and the paperwork the buyer's customs will expect.
Export requirements & certifications
- Registration with APEDA; FSSAI licensing for the manufacturing/packing unit.
- Destination food-safety compliance (US FDA facility registration and food-facility rules, or the equivalent elsewhere).
- Shelf-life, ingredient and allergen labelling to the destination's rules.
- Buyer-specified packaging, private-label and shelf-life requirements.
