Where the buyers are
These are destination markets with verified importing companies for cosmetics on EximHub, built from customs shipment records. Counts are rounded down; each links to the importer list for that market.

HS codes
Cosmetics exports fall under HS chapter 33. Classify precisely — the first six digits are international, the rest are India's ITC-HS extension. Your HS code drives duty, FTA eligibility and the paperwork the buyer's customs will expect.
Export requirements & certifications
- IEC and RCMC from CHEMEXCIL (Basic Chemicals, Cosmetics & Dyes Export Promotion Council).
- Destination product registration — US cosmetic listing under MoCRA, an EU/UK Cosmetic Product Safety Report plus a Responsible Person, and the equivalent elsewhere; requirements differ significantly by market.
- Ingredient-safety compliance against the destination's banned/restricted-substance list, which differs from India's.
- Certificate of Free Sale from the Indian licensing authority; stability and microbiological test data.
Requirements change and are buyer- and destination-specific — confirm the current rules with your export promotion council and the buyer before you ship.
Documentation
Every cosmetics shipment needs the core set: commercial invoice, packing list, shipping bill, bill of lading or airway bill, certificate of origin (preferential where an FTA applies), and the category-specific certificates above. See the full export documentation checklist and the cosmetics export guide.
Finding buyers
The reliable method: identify companies that already import cosmetics in your target market from customs data, reach the named procurement contact, and open on the trade signal — not a generic pitch. EximHub does that end to end. Read how to find cosmetics buyers, how to find export buyers or how customs trade data works.
