HS codes
Incense exports fall under HS 3307. Classify precisely — the first six digits are international, the rest are India's ITC-HS extension. Your HS code drives duty, FTA eligibility and the paperwork the buyer's customs will expect.
Export requirements & certifications
- IEC and RCMC (via the relevant merchandise/handicraft EPC).
- Destination fragrance/ingredient safety documentation (IFRA compliance) and, for the US, general consumer-product safety compliance.
- Fire-safety labelling and packaging appropriate for a combustible product.
- Buyer sample approval on fragrance and burn quality before bulk production.
